Zonta International is an organization of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy and it has been doing this very successfully since its foundation in 1919.

The organization is offering scholarship programs aimed at encouraging more women to pursue undergraduate degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math.

Full Description

The Zonta Club of Milwaukee offers three $1,000 Woman in STEM Scholarship to local residents and out-of-state students with the aim to help support the education of junior or senior level studies at an accredited university, college or institute.

The scholarships are:

  • JMK Women in Business
  • Women in Technology
  • Women in Science/Technology/Engineering/Math
  • Young Women in Public Affairs

Who's eligible?

The possible recipients of these scholarships are young women and college students living in and/or attending accredited schools in southeastern Wisconsin including Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee, Washington, Racine, and Kenosha counties.

JMK Women in Business Scholarship is aimed at women pursuing a business program with major field of specialization in accounting, finance, business management, marketing, operations management, human resources management, international business, or entrepreneurship at an accredited university/college/institute who are enrolled in at least the second year of an undergraduate program through the final year of a Master’s program at the time the application is submitted to the local Zonta club.

Women in Technology Scholarship is designed for women pursuing a technology degree, closely related program, or continued advancement in technology, who demonstrate outstanding potential in the field.

Women in Science/Technology/Engineering/Math is for women majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math who have achieved junior- or senior-level status at an accredited college or university.

Young Women in Public Affairs Scholarship is aimed at pre-university or pre-college students with the purpose to encourage more young women to participate in Public Affairs and Political Life.

Make sure to submit the completed applications before June 1.
