The Richard S. Thompson and Marion L. Thompson Memorial Fund awards scholarships to Lee County students.

The scholarship is awarded thanks to generous donors who are constantly contributing to more than 100 scholarship funds at this Foundation.

This scholarship is available for Lee County students who are seeking continuing education at vocational/technical colleges, community colleges, state colleges, and universities but do not have enough financial assets to provide for it.

Full Description

Five lucky recipients will be determined based on the criteria selected by the scholarship committee and they will get the amazing $10000 award, so do not hesitate to apply if you consider yourself eligible.

Who's eligible?

So as to be eligible for the Richard S. Thompson and Marion L. Thompson Memorial Fund, applicants need to meet some eligibility requirements.

They need to have a GPA of at least 3.5 and graduate from a high school in Lee County.

The committee will select a few most deserving applicants who will be called for an interview and the interview will play a crucial role in deciding who the winner will be.

How to Apply

You will need to register, by filling out the Applicant Registration and answering the Prequalifying Questions.

By answering the prequalifying questions, you will make it easier for the scholarship committee to determine what scholarships you are eligible for.

When the application process is in question, besides submitting the application form, you need to provide certain required documents and they need to be uploaded, in order to have the ability to submit your application.

They have to be in PDF or JPEG format and those are transcripts which will include your grades, at least one reference letter, your FAFSA’s Student Aid Report (SAR), and ACT or SAT Score Report.

The Student Aid Report (SAR) will show the student’s Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) Score which is required for the scholarship, while a Reference Letter from a person who is outside of the applicant’s family is necessary so that he/she can speak about the applicant’s character and why the applicant deserves to get this amazing award.

The application process will open on December 2nd.
