PMI Ray Piper Global Project Management Education Scholarship

The PMI Ray Piper Global Project Management Education Scholarship is created so as to honor the memory of Ray Piper, who was an acknowledged expert in project management, a caring colleague, and an enthusiastic mentor for those who wished to learn.

The Ray Piper Global Project Management Education Scholarship is awarded annually in the amount up to $1,000.

This scholarship is sponsored by the PMI Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical Specific Interest Group, the PMI Clear Lake/Galveston Chapter, and other friends of Ray Piper.

Full Description

The deadline for receipt of applications with all supporting materials for this scholarship is May 1st and it has to be met, meaning that all the documents must be submitted in the format specified on the PMIEF website for each item prior to that moment.

Who's eligible?

This academic scholarship is open to any student enrolled in or applying for an accredited undergraduate academic degree program in project management or a related field of study at any college or university anywhere in the world, but that college or university has to be accredited by a nationally or regionally recognized accrediting agency.

How to Apply

The application process starts with filling out the application form available on the scholarship provider’s website.

You as an applicant will be required to provide the following:

  • Your personal information such as contact details.
  • Your education information related to the university, enrollment status, degree, etc
  • Essay in which you will be speaking about the importance of project management which should not be longer than 500 words.
  • Your resume/CV which should be in .doc or .pdf file format
  • Academic transcript
  • Two reference letters have to be uploaded as an attachment to your application and must not be from a relative or family member.

Here are the guidelines for the application procedure:

First, you need to create an account on PMIEF.org and log in so as to be able to access the scholarship application portal.

Then, you should complete your application and submit it.

The notification will be sent to both winners and other applicants via email within three months after the deadline.
