The scholarship is founded in honor of H.H. Kildee, who was a Dean of the College of Agriculture at Iowa State University.

He was an outstanding judge of dairy cattle and supporter of student judging programs and activities, so the foundation started awarding scholarships to students who have a strong desire and skills to excel in dairy cattle judging.

Full Description

The foundation offers two $3,000 scholarships and students are encouraged to apply for the scholarship during their junior or senior year of college.

The awards recipients will be determined according to achievements in the national contests, academic standing, leadership ability, student activities, future plans and interest in the dairy industry.

Kildee Graduate Studies Scholarship can be used for advanced study related to the dairy industry.

The fields in which students should be seeking further education and take advantage of this award are production agriculture, manufacturing, marketing, agricultural law, business, veterinary medicine and environmental sciences.
