National Dairy Shrine is there to gather dairy producers, scientists, students, educators, technical consultants, marketers and others who are eager to keep the dairy industry strong and since its foundation in 1949 it has 20,000 lifetime members who are there to help during the scholarship applications, provide aid in fund raising, write news releases and newsletter articles, organizing the annual meeting, etc.
The National Dairy Shrine organization offers financial aid to students each year.
The portraits of those lucky ones who become the recipients of this award are exhibited in the National Dairy Hall of Fame at the National Dairy Shrine Museum in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.
The National Dairy Shrine gets funds for scholarships from lifetime membership fees and sales of dairy related articles.
They award $1500 to five students annually.
Each year, the NDS organization provides more than $40,000 in awards and scholarships for 2 year and 4 year college students.
The aim is to help the leading young dairy enthusiasts and only the undergraduate sophomores and junior students who are pursuing education in dairy or food-related industries are eligible to apply for it.
The eligible people are undergraduate sophomores and junior students who are pursuing education or communication careers in dairy or food related industries.
The eligible areas are Education, Social Media & Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Food Science, Nutrition and Journalism.
Additionally, the applicant must have at least a cumulative 2.5 GPA.
Individuals who have already got the award by National Dairy Shrine are not eligible and the nominee need not be a National Dairy Shrine member.

The scholarship is awarded to those students interested in the dairy industry.

There you can find the official application, which has to be filled out, and additional information including two letters of support and an official transcript should be sent before the official deadline on April 15th.
