The Marguerite Young Endowment Fund understands the importance of supporting young learners in their struggle to reach higher education goals.

The main aim of this foundation is to provide assistance for students pursuing theology and they are doing this successfully for over many years through the scholarships.

The foundation is named after Marguerite Young who was a sincere Christian woman, a member of her church and a supporter of theological education for the training of faithful Christian ministers.

Full Description

The award is $1,500 and it is not renewable.

Who's eligible?

So as to be eligible for this excellent award, applicants must pursue a degree or studies in Theology and be enrolled full-time in a college/university or seminary.

The eligible candidates are those who attend a Protestant seminary as a master of Divinity candidate, preparing for full-time ministry and/or be a seminary intern working at a Protestant Church as a requirement for the degree program.

Furthermore, they must have completed the credit equivalent of at least one full year of enrollment in the degree program.

They have to pursue a degree or studies in theology and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.

In case you do not meet the above-mentioned criteria, you are not suggested to apply as your application will not be considered valid and will be rejected.

How to Apply

Only eligible applicants are encouraged to apply and this can be done by completing the application form available on the scholarship provider’s official website.

During the application completion, you will be asked to fill out the essay section of the application as well.

The applicant must submit the Student Aid Report (SAR) and those who have not already received it can do so by applying for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Furthermore, the eligible candidate should submit two letters of reference and unofficial transcripts.

Without the proof of acceptance from the seminary, college or university you will be attending and a copy of the most current seminary internship or field education placement job description, your application will not be considered complete.

Make sure you submit the application prior to the deadline on 31st March.
