The Lillian Kitchen and Zella Kitchen Challis Scholarship was established by Linda and Jack Gill.

The scholarship fund is named after and is created so as to honor Linda Gill’s mother and grandmother.

The Foundation is pleased to offer the Lillian Kitchen and Zella Kitchen Challis Scholarship to area students seeking educational opportunities beyond high school and who unfortunately have financial difficulties on the educational path.

Full Description

This non-renewable merit-based scholarship and the only one awardee will get the award of $2,000.

 

Who's eligible?

Before applying for any scholarship, the applicants are suggested to read the eligibility requirements and apply only to those that match their educational plans.

The eligible applicant has to be a graduating senior from Harrison County High School in Cynthiana, Kentucky who has achieved excellent academic standing and whose plans are related to pursuing a degree in science, technology, engineering, math, or pre-medicine.

Furthermore, the eligible applicant must have a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher and a composite ACT score of at least 28 or SAT of at least 1250.

How to Apply

Just like each scholarship has its own eligibility requirements, they also have their own deadlines and set of application materials.

The application process is done online and the fillable application forms will be available on the BGCF application portal in January.

The deadline by which you need to submit all the documents so as to be considered for the award is March 15th.

The new users who are accessing the application form for the first time will need to register and then they will be allowed to Log On using their username and password.

To be sure that they have successfully registered, they will receive a message meaning that they will be able to immediately start working on scholarship applications.

The application consists of different parts and you need to fill in your personal information and include the Required Documents such as your transcript of grades, ACT/SAT scores, and your Student Aid Report.
