This is due to the fact that the system will match you with scholarships for which you may be eligible.

Who's eligible?

Just like any other scholarship, this one has also determined certain eligibility requirements that each applicant has to meet so as to be considered a possible scholarship winner.

The applicant must be an Auglaize, Shelby, or Mercer County (Ohio) resident majoring in Respiratory Therapy or a closely related field.

Plus, he/she must have completed sufficient college coursework to surpass freshman status.

Last, but not least, the applicant must have maintained a college GPA of at least 2.5 and be pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

Being that this is a need-based scholarship, the selection will be based on financial need, academic ability, community and school service, and recommendations.

How to Apply

The deadline for the submission of all necessary documentation for the Heidi Norris Fund Scholarship is May 21.

The application process is done online and once it starts, the Community Foundation Scholarship application will become available at commfoun.com

You should first determine your eligibility, and if you find out that you are able to apply for this award, you should prepare to complete the application form.

You will be asked the following questions, so it is good  to have those answers prepared

  • In what school district do you live?
  • In what county do you live?
  • What is your cumulative grade point average?

It is important to gather the following documentation:

  • Your high school and/or college transcript which can be electronically requested from your guidance office from within the online scholarship application.
  • A list of school and community service activities.
  • One to three letters of Recommendation which can also be electronically requested from within the application.
  • Your EFC (Expected Family Contribution) from the FAFSA form.
  • College cost of attendance information.
