The (ISC)² Graduate Scholarship is designed to help graduate students who are enrolled in an university or college where they study to reach a degree on cybersecurity or information assurance.

Full Description

The (ISC)² Graduate Scholarship program offers up to 20 scholarships each year.

The award offered by the (ISC)² Graduate Scholarship is amazing and ir ranges from $1,000 to $5,000.

Who's eligible?

In order to be eligible, the requirements have to be fulfilled and one of them is that applicant must begin the first or second year of a master’s degree program or pursue doctoral studies.

His/her academic achievements have to be great with a minimum 3.5 GPA on a scale of 4.0.

For those who have just been accepted to Graduate School, the final cumulative GPA from your undergraduate degree transcript should be used to prove your academic achievements.

Furthermore, applicants may be citizens of any country, attending education on campus or online, full time or part time, either in the US or internationally.

It is important to say that you can apply for this scholarship even though you are not yet enrolled, but the money will be disbursed once you are enrolled in a college or university.

It is sent to the school and it can only be applied to tuition, fees and books.

How to Apply

Graduate applicants are encouraged to apply for this scholarship from November 1st when the application process starts.

The period for the submission of applications end on January 15th and the recipients will be informed about the award in March.

July is the month when the money is given to the winners.

If you find yourself eligible for this award, you will need to provide some documentation.

You will need the unofficial transcripts from your educational institution and one Letter of recommendation in which the person who is writing should answer the following questions:

  • How long have you known the applicant and in what capacity?
  • What skills or abilities does the applicant have that will support him/her in completing a degree?
  • What other information about the applicant should be taken into consideration?

Also, you will need to submit your Resume/CV, less than 3 pages length.

You will be asked to provide an essay in which you will speak about the reasons why you are the ideal candidate for this (ISC)² Cybersecurity Scholarship.

In the essay, you should mention why you need the scholarship, what are your personal and education background and your goals in your future career.

If you have made any contributions to the cybersecurity field, you should state in your essay and that would be taken into consideration.
