The Illinois CPA Society scholarships and outreach programs are funded by the CPA Endowment Fund of Illinois which is created in 1998 and since then it has been offering financial help through various scholarship and outreach programs.

The foundation is based on voluntary donations by people who notice the importance of support when higher education is in question, especially in those cases where money is the main obstacle to the advancement.

Full Description

The CPA Endowment Fund of Illinois is there to help accounting students and CPA candidates that have certain financial difficulties and cannot cover the educational expenses.

These aids are aimed at those students who have great academic performance in those fields related to accounting a business and leadership qualities.

Each year, the Fund awards approximately $200,000 in scholarships to more than 160 accounting students.

 

 

Who's eligible?

There are certain eligibility requirements that you have to fulfill and only then should you apply for the scholarship due to the fact that your application will not be accepted if one of the criteria is not met.

First, you need to be a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident and be an Illinois resident and you have to be enrolled in an Illinois college or university.

Your cumulative GPA should be at least 3.0/4.0 or equivalent and you have to be planning to sit for the CPA exam in Illinois within three years of application date.

That way you will prove your progress in a course of study in accounting and demonstrate your business achievements.

Furthermore, you need to prove that there is a financial difficulty on your part.

Eligible are those students who are seniors or graduate students for the upcoming academic year.

Illinois CPA Society offers numerous scholarships and by submitting one application student may apply to any or all of the scholarships for which they are eligible.
