Napier and Ellen T. Wilson Scholarship Fund noticed that there are people who deserve higher education but cannot achieve it due to certain financial issues, so they have decided to award financial aid in terms of a scholarship to outstanding high school students and they are doing it annually.

The Southwest Florida students have the opportunity to apply for this scholarship and up to now the foundation has awarded over $761,000 in financial support to 135 individuals.

The award is amazing $6000 which can be used for further education at accredited educational institutions.

Who's eligible?

The eligible applicants are students who have achieved excellent educational results and who have volunteered at a Veterans Administration Hospital, Clinic or similar organization providing services to military veterans.

Their aim and future plan should be attending an accredited university, college or vocational-technical institution.

So as to be eligible, the applicant must graduate from a public or private high school in Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry or Lee County.

Scholarships are available for high school seniors, adults returning to school, GED holders, undergraduate students and graduate students.

How to Apply

If you consider yourself eligible for the scholarship, you should apply for it.

The process is online and very easy.

The Southwest Florida Community Foundation scholarship application includes answering some of the Prequalifying Questions, due to the fact that your answers to these questions will determine the scholarship you are eligible for.

Once the Prequalifying Questions are answered and you want to select the scholarship that you wish to send your application to, you will need to create a password, while your username will be your email address.

You will be asked to provide a letter of recommendation from the veteran’s facility or organization where you have volunteered.

The application process opens on December 17th and ends, 2018 and on February 24th , so make sure to fill out your application prior to this deadline in order to be accepted as a possible candidate.
