The Southwest Florida students have the opportunity to apply for this scholarship and up to now the foundation has awarded over $761,000 in financial support to 135 individuals.
The award is amazing $6000 which can be used for further education at accredited educational institutions.
The eligible applicants are students who have achieved excellent educational results and who have volunteered at a Veterans Administration Hospital, Clinic or similar organization providing services to military veterans.
Their aim and future plan should be attending an accredited university, college or vocational-technical institution.
So as to be eligible, the applicant must graduate from a public or private high school in Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry or Lee County.
Scholarships are available for high school seniors, adults returning to school, GED holders, undergraduate students and graduate students.
