Depending on the field of music you are interested in, meaning whether you play an instrument of you are a singer, there are certain audition requirements:
For vocalists, they have to prepare two songs in contrasting styles that would last less than 6 minutes. For those who play woodwinds, they will need to prepare two contrasting movements or etudes and will be asked to sight read.
The brass players should also prepare to play two excerpts while people playing strings should prepare one movement of a suite, sonata or concerto and one additional work in a contrasting style.
There is also a special requirement for guitarists – two compositions representing two different periods of music history while pianists and percussionists should prepare to play two works from contrasting styles.
The scholarship is available for future composers and they should submit 1-3 recent compositions.
