The main goal of the ABC Wildlife is to emphasize the importance of introducing diversity in every scientific field from biology to chemical engineering, being that only 13% of women are engineering professionals and a mere 7.2% are engaged in the field of mechanical engineering.

This means that they are underrepresented in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) so the scholarship is there to help and financial support women who are pursuing their dreams in the scientific world.

The foundation believes that the scholarship will increase the number of women studying.

Full Description

If you happen to be the selected first-prize winner you will receive a one-time $1000 educational scholarship which is provided by ABC Wildlife, Inc.

Payments will be made payable to the student and the winners will be selected by the ABC Wildlife team after the deadline.

It is significant to submit all the documents prior to July 1st and your application will be judged on quality and thoughtfulness.

The winners will be announced before July 15th and only one award of $1,000 will be granted to the top essay.

Who's eligible?

Each scholarship applicant has to meet the eligibility requirements that are set so as to be able to choose the ideal candidate.

To apply for the scholarship, the applicant must be a student currently enrolled at a college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in the United States who is studying or planning to study the fields of science, engineering, mathematics, or technology.

Ineligible are those applicants whose parent/legal guardian is employed by ABC Wildlife, Inc.

You do not need to be a United States citizen to apply, but you need to be a female who is either a graduate and undergraduate student enrolling or continuing in STEM fields of study at accredited universities.

How to Apply

The application submission has to be done online and be sent to grants@abcwildlife.com.

You are supposed to write an essay as a part of your application process and answer the question – “Why are you passionate about science, technology, engineering, or math, and how will your pursuit of these fields help preserve biodiversity, improve the health of our planet, or alleviate human suffering?”

The essay should not be longer than 1000 words and when submitting it make sure you have included the subject line “Women in STEM Scholarship” in your email.
