The UNCF STEM Scholars Program provides academic support for a total of 500 talented African American high school students who are eager to earn STEM degrees and to pursue careers in STEM fields.
The main aim of this award is to support highly capable young people to pursue undergraduate STEM majors and the application is open for high school seniors who are entering college as first-time freshmen.
This tuition scholarship award is up to a total of $25,000: $2,500—freshmen and sophomore academic years, $5,000—juniors and seniors academic years and an additional $5,000—fifth-year students.

He/she has to be enrolled full-time at a UNCF Member College or University.
The applicant has to complete the Free Application for Student Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at https://fafsa.ed.gov.
Plus, the applicant must demonstrate financial need as verified by the financial aid office;
Last, but not least, he/she must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale.
