The NBCUniversal/LNESC Scholarship available tanks to NBCUniversal which is one of the world’s leading media and entertainment companies.

The NBC Universal/ LNESC Scholarship Program was created so as to assist and encourage outstanding undergraduate Latino students attending a U.S. post-secondary institution with an interest in the media and entertainment industry.

Full Description

There are ten $5,000 national scholarships awarded annually to qualified rising sophomores and juniors and it is non-renewable.

The money will be divided into two equal disbursements of $2,500 made in the fall and spring.

If you happen to be the recipient, you are required to enroll as a full-time student and maintain a cumulative college grade point average of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent to be eligible for the second scholarship disbursement.

 

Who's eligible?

Considering the fact that the NBC Universal Scholarship is not available to everyone, you should first get acquainted with the eligibility requirements and only then submit the application for the award, but only if you meet all the following criteria:

The scholarship can be awarded a college sophomore or junior enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university.

He/she must be at least 18 years of age or older and must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent.

The applicant must be a U. S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident who has an interest in the media and entertainment industry.

However, all majors are welcome.

How to Apply

Once the application process starts, the fillable application form will be available on the scholarship provider’s website.

Besides the completed application form, you are supposed to provide a letter of recommendation, and you should get familiar with the following guidelines on “How to Invite Reference/Recommender?”

One letter of recommendation is required for a completed application and must be submitted before or by the deadline.

What you need to do is to enter all information for your recommender – name, and e-mail,  and the system will invite References and request his/her recommendation.

Make sure all these documents are received prior to July 22nd when the application process ends.
