The higher educational goals are difficult to be achieved, especially if students have some financial issues related to the payment of the expensive education fees, tuition and books.

That is why the Merchant Exchange Scholarship Fund is there to help students who are eager to ensure the future prosperity of the Maritime industry.

Full Description

The Merchants Exchange Scholarship is created with the aim to help those extraordinary and deserving students who are seeking a career in the maritime industry and the possible studies include: Admiralty Law, Tug and Barge operations, Forwarder & Broker, Port Authority, Terminal Operator, Marine Engineering, Maritime Insurance, International Business, Logistics and Supply Chain management, Marine Science, etc.

Financial need affects the choice of applicants, but it is not of the primary importance.

 

Who's eligible?

The Merchants Exchange Scholarship Fund Board of Directors will determine who the most eligible applicant is for this amazing award.

The recipients of the Merchants Exchange Scholarship can be only those individuals who meet the following criteria:

he/she has to be pursuing a degree in the Maritime Field and/or International Trade,

He/she must be enrolled in a 4-year, 2-year institution or graduate degree program.

he/she has to maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA or the school’s equivalent rankings and demonstrate academic achievement.

Financial need will also be taken into consideration if other factors are equal.

How to Apply

Besides completing an online application form which can be found on the scholarship provider’s official website and submitting it electronically, you will be asked to submit two additional documents and they are one letter of recommendation from a professor or direct supervisor and applicant’s sealed certified academic transcripts.

The questions that you will be asked during the application process are related to your motivation for pursuing a career in the international trade and/or maritime transportation industry, short and long-term goals and write two short essays related to the given topics.

One should be 1500 words long, while the other should be 2500.
