The Joseph James Morelli Scholarship Fund is created in honor the life of Joseph James Morelli.
He was a person who reached a great success by overcoming the challenges of dyslexia.
So, this fund is there to help high school and college students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and/or dyscalculia, who are eager to achieve higher education goals in science, technology, engineering and math.
The Fund is supported by a Scholarship Committee and an Advisory Committee and the awarded scholarships may be used for tuition costs, tutoring and other educational fees.
The scholarship award ranges from $500 to $2,500 and past recipients may re-apply, but they will be asked to fill out the application form again for each year they are applying.
The Joseph James Morelli Scholarship Fund has created this award so as to help high school and college students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and/or dyscalculia who are interested in a higher education related to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
The eligibility criteria for the Joseph James Morelli Scholarship are:
- You have to be a high school or college student
- You have to try to get a degree in one of the following fields: science, technology, engineering, or math
- You must demonstrate learning disability of dyslexia, dysgraphia, and/or dyscalculia.

If you fulfill all the above mentioned requirements, then you can apply for this amazing award.
The application process starts on January 2nd, and you will have to visit https://morelli.smapply.io/ so as to be able to find and fill out the application form.
First, you will be asked to register for an account, verify your email address, and only than you can submit your application.
Prepare all the necessary documentation that you will have to submit.
You will need to have a recommendation letter from a teacher, counselor, or other school personnel, documentation of your learning disability and most recent transcript.
Make sure to submit it before application deadline on March 14th.
If you happen to be the lucky one who got the scholarship, you will be informed about that on April 30th.
