The main purpose of the IFA scholarship is to support students who are enrolled in an accredited college/university with majors in business, hospitality, or franchise management and who are in need of financial aid so as to reach their educational goals.

They are providing financial assistance in terms of scholarship.

The IFA Foundation and the Marriott Foundation are proud to offer a competitive one-time award each year which will be given to the individual selected who will later on be invited to the International Franchise Association’s (IFA) Annual Convention.

The student will get $1500 award which can only be used for tuition, books, and applicable academic fees.

 

Who's eligible?

We believe that many people will be interested in this award, but only the eligible ones are encouraged to apply for it.

To be eligible for this scholarship the applicant must:

  • be enrolled in an U.S. accredited college or university with studies in business, hospitality, or franchise management
  • have sophomore, junior or senior college class standing for the period of the scholarship, and
  • be a U.S. citizen.

The eligible candidates should apply for this scholarship, while those who do not fulfill the above mentioned criteria are advised not to waste both their time and the committee’s time by submitting the applications which will be rejected.

How to Apply

So as to apply for this scholarship, if the applicant finds himself/herself eligible, he/she must complete the International Franchise Association Foundation Scholarship application form, submit an official academic transcript, and prepare a short-typed essay which should be less than 500-words in which he/she will speak about “The Value of a College Education.”

You are also required to submit an official certified transcript which will prove your educational achievements.

The scholarship selection committee will review all completed applications and make the final decision.

The application process starts on August 1st and ends on October 31st, so make sure to submit the application prior to that date.
