Henrietta M. Fisher Memorial Honor Scholarship Fund

The eligible applicant for the Henrietta M. Fisher Memorial Honor Scholarship Fund is a first-year, University Park baccalaureate student.

Full Description

Award amounts vary between $2,000 and $4,000 and are awarded for one year unless enrolled in a Penn State ROTC program.

The number of winners is determined by the scholarship committee each year, depending on the quality of applications and the availability of funds.

But, one is sure – only the most deserving candidates will get the money.

Who's eligible?

Henrietta M. Fisher Memorial Honor Scholarship Fund offers scholarship only to eligible students and the requirements that have to be met include:

  • The applicant must be a first-year, University Park baccalaureate student
  • He/she must be a U.S. citizen and a Dauphin County resident (Steelton-Highspire High School graduates preferred)
  • He/she may be pursuing any college major related to Engineering, Earth & Mineral Science, Science, Communications, and Liberal Arts.
  • He/she must demonstrate leadership and patriotism (ROTC students preferred).

How to Apply

When the application procedure is in question, here is what you need to submit so as to be considered for the award.

You are supposed to submit a letter that includes Student Name, Student Penn State ID Number and a personal essay of no more than two pages that illustrates leadership skills, patriotism, career aspirations, and academic merit.

Application material will be accepted until May 1 and the award winner will be selected by the Office of Student Aid Scholarship Committee.

If you happen to be the lucky winner, you will be notified in May, as well as all the other applicants.
