Full Description

Future biannual meeting travel grant submission deadlines are:

  • 237th ECS Meeting, Montréal, Canada – February 10
  • PRiME 2020, Honolulu, Hawaii – June 29

Students, postdocs and young professional electrochemists who submitted abstracts for the 237th ECS Meeting are encouraged to apply for travel grants.

The 237th ECS Meeting will be held in Montréal, Canada, from May 10–15, [2020], so you need to submit the application with all supporting documents prior to the deadline on February 10th.

Who's eligible?

Interested applicants for this scholarship must first take a close look at the eligibility requirements set by the scholarship committee and only if they meet them, they should apply for the award.

The eligible applicant must be a current membership in ECS at the time of submission, notification, and event dates.

You can easily join this organization by visiting the following website: www.electrochem.org/join

Then, formal abstract submission is required for the respective meeting you wish to attend so you must have the abstract submission number available to complete the form.

Also, you need to have fulfilled division or section sponsored travel grant requirements and more information about these requirements is available at www.electrochem.org/travel-grants.

How to Apply

Applicants may only apply for a travel grant from one division.

Divisions/Sections may have additional application requirements so you are suggested to review the additional requirements for each division/section prior to filling out the online application.

Besides providing contact information, the application process requires that you provide ECS meeting you wish to attend as well as your abstract, transcript, a letter from faculty and additional requirement from division.

You are also supposed to state the estimated meeting expenses and your ECS membership number.

When completing the application, you will be asked to provide some supporting documents so you are suggested have all necessary documents available in PDF format to upload, being that applications must be completed in one session and you cannot come back later on to continue.
