The Zinggia Ohio Art Scholarship aim is to help art students in Ohio further their education in the visual arts field.

Full Description

If you happen to be the lucky recipients of the award, the funds can be used for full-time study in the United States and the school of choice does not need to be in Ohio.

However, the award may be used at:

  • Art School
  • Two-year college or technical school
  • Four-year college

Who's eligible?

If you are reading this you are probably interested in applying for this award.

Actually, you should know all the eligibility requirements set by the scholarship committee so as to be sure that your application will be accepted.

You need to be a High school senior with a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Your major career interest should be Arts, such as general, painting, illustration, design, photography, printmaking, sculpture, art education, etc.

The eligible applicants have to be residents of the State of Ohio and US citizen or a permanent resident of the US.

You have to be enrolled in qualified institutions and the level of study.

How to Apply

The application process includes the application submission plus some additional application requirements:

The applicant must submit five art samples, current high school transcript with GPA and one signed letter of recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor.

You are suggested to submit a letter from an Art Teacher.

Art sample requirements include the submission of images of five of your best pieces of artwork which you have created in the last four years and you should carefully go through the following guidelines:

  • Samples can be provided on CD or THUMB DRIVE in JPEG, PDF, or video format, or as photographs or printouts.
  • When submitting, you should write your name on the CD & make sure it works before mailing.
  • Digital file names or printed samples must be labeled and named according to the list in Section D on page 2 of the application.
  • A short description of each artwork is required.
  • Digital images should be high resolution (minimum 1200 pixels).
  • Photographs or printouts should be no larger than 8.5” x 11”.

The application submission deadline is March 2nd, as late applications will be rejected.
