The Sheep Heritage Foundation Memorial Scholarship is available to young students thanks to the American Sheep Industry Association.

The scholarship amount is $2,500 will be awarded to a person who is trying to reach a degree in sheep-related graduate studies.

The reason why the association is supporting this scholarship is the advancement and popularity of the sheep industry.

Incomplete applications will not be considered as well as late ones.

Applications must be received by May 31st when the application process finishes.

You should not waste your time applying if you do not meet the eligibility requirements, as your application will be rejected by the scholarship committee.

Who's eligible?

The organization provides financial support of a graduate-level MS or Ph.D. student who is attending a school in the United States and who meets the eligibility requirements set by the scholarship comettee.

The applicant has to be a graduate student involved in sheep and/or wool research in such areas as animal science, agriculture economics or veterinary medicine with proof of graduate school acceptance.

How to Apply

Once the eligibility is determined, the applicant is supposed to complete an application and provide two letters of reference.

The fillable application form is available on the scholarship provider’s official website and should be completed and submitted prior to the application deadline.

Besides the personal question, you will be asked about your Cumulative GPA, academic awards and leadership roles, previous and current instructorships, assistantships, fellowships, and scholarships.

If you are able to provide, you will be asked to submit your employment record as well.

All the fields in the application form should be filled out so that the application is considered complete.

When additional materials that need to be submitted are in question, on a separate page, you will need to write in 250 words or less about your past work and research accomplishments as well as your specific research project and give reasons for pursuing it.

You will have to include proof of acceptance into graduate school and two letters of reference.
