PG&E Better Together STEM Scholarship Program

PG&E is a foundation which boasts a long history of supporting local educational initiatives, providing more than $75 million through various scholarships over the last decade

The scholarship is aimed at accomplished students who demonstrated community leadership, personal triumph, financial need, and academic achievement.

 

Full Description

The most deserving applicant will be determined among so many candidates based on the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated academic achievement
  • School or community leadership
  • Financial need

Their main focus is on helping those students who are eager to become a part of California’s clean energy future and each year twenty PG&E Better Together STEM Scholarships of $10,000 are awarded, as well as 20 scholarships of $1,000 to high school seniors, current college students, veterans and adults returning to school who are PG&E customers.

 

 

Who's eligible?

Just like any other scholarship, the PG&E Better Together STEM Scholarship Committee has determined certain eligibility guidelines and requirements.

Applicants for this scholarship must be a high school senior or graduate, who has received GED certification or be an undergraduate or postsecondary undergraduate student.

What is considered amazing is that both veterans and adults returning to school are eligible and highly encouraged to apply.

The eligible applicant must have a primary residence that is a PG&E customer in California at the time of application and he/she has to be planning to enroll full-time in an accredited college or university.

Better Together scholarship applicants must attend an accredited college or university in California.

 

How to Apply

March 5th is the deadline to apply for a Better Together STEM Scholarship and it is significant to follow the timeline and submit all the documentation on time.

Once the application process starts, you will be able to gather all the information related to the application requirements and documents needed for applying.

Everything will be announced on the scholarship provider’s website.

What you will need besides the completed application form are the following documents:

  • Financial Need Analysis
  • A current, complete transcript of grades
  • A recent PG&E bill with the customer’s name and service address.
  • ACT or SAT scores for high school seniors.
