NPG Poster Scholarship Contest

The NPG Student Poster Scholarship Contest offers multiple awards ranging from $1,000 to $3,000.

Full Description

The scholarship funds will not be paid to the recipient directly but will be sent to the accredited college or university account of the winning students.

The contest theme is “Too Many People” and the work of art must include this statement and illustrate the idea that they will have a negative impact on our future.

Posters should present the overpopulation of the United States – not the world.

Who's eligible?

The good thing to know is that undergraduate students are eligible to apply.

So as to apply for this award, you will need to meet the eligibility criteria set by the NPG Student Poster Scholarship committee.

The eligible applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident who is enrolled in an official undergraduate program of study.

The applicant must be 14 years old or older and must be enrolled in or attending an accredited school within the United States, or operated overseas by the U.S. government.

Relatives of employees or directors of NPG are not eligible.

How to Apply

The submitted work must be the original work of the applicant and posters must be flat- no three-dimensional images, made by hand and the writing on the posters must be hand-lettered and in Englis.

Additionally, posters must be no smaller than 12″ by 12″ and no larger than 24″ by 24″ and on the back of the poster there must be the applicant’s name, address, e-mail address, and phone number.

You are supposed to mail/ship the poster with completed and signed application & release to Negative Population Growth, 2861 Duke Street- Suite 36, Alexandria, VA 22314.

The winning posters will be selected based on originality, overall impact, effectiveness in conveying the theme, and artistic merit.

Applicants must sign and return the release agreement.

The NPG Student Poster Scholarship committee requires that all entries must be received by October 15th, as late entries will not be accepted.

The received posters will not be returned and the winners will be announced online by November 15th.
