The Betty Rendel Scholarship was established in September 1995 in honor of former NFRW Betty Rendel.

She is known for her extraordinary leadership skills and dedication to the Republican Party.

The NFRW Betty Rendel Scholarship offers three annual scholarships of $1,000.

The scholarship is available thanks to The National Federation of Republican Women and it is designed for undergraduate Republican women who are currently majoring in political science, government or economics.

The main aim of the scholarships is to support women who are pursuing higher education degrees and encourage them to get involved in the political situation in their countries.

For each applicant, it is very important to stay updated when the scholarship application timeline and requirements are in question as they are prone to change.

Who's eligible?

The eligible applicant for the Betty Rendel Scholarship is a college undergraduate woman who is currently majoring in political science, government or economics.

The eligible women are those who have successfully completed at least two years of college coursework.

If you are a past scholarship winner, you are not allowed to apply.

Ineligible applicants are suggested not to apply, as their applications will be rejected, while eligible ones should not waste time waiting, but try their luck once the application process opens.

How to Apply

Once you are sure that you meet all the above-mentioned requirements, you should get acquainted with the application requirements.

Your complete application must include the official application form with all sections fully completed with accurate answers, three letters of recommendation which will include telephone numbers/emails of authors, an official copy of the applicant’s most recent college transcript, a one-page typed essay in which you will be speaking about the reason why you should be considered for the scholarship and your career goals.

You can also provide a photograph and a State Federation President Certification.

Bear in mind that only completed applications will be considered.

Individual applications must be submitted to the applicant’s state federation president by

June 1 and each president will choose one application from her state to submit to NFRW.

The scholarship winners will be chosen by the NFRW Executive Committee.

The deadline for applications to be received at the national headquarters is June 15th.
