The Islamic Scholarship Fund has the aim to facilitate and support Muslims who are entering the world of higher education where they have to meet with expensive educational fees.

Full Description

A great thing to know is that the applicants can start submitting applications in November for a period of 5 months.

If you happen to be among the lucky recipients of the award, you should know that each of the selected applicants will be granted an award amounting from $2,000-$5000.

The number of recipients is determined each year and their mission will be to increase American Muslim representation in media and politics.

Who's eligible?

The application will be accepted only from those students who fulfill the minimum requirements set by the scholarship committee.

You can apply for a scholarship only if you are a Muslim or an active member of the Muslim community.

You need to be enrolled at an accredited university in the U.S. and majoring in an ISF supported major.

ISF majors are the following: Film, Media, Journalism, Law and Related Fields and Public Policy.

Furthermore, you need to be maintaining a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average and be a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.

Last but not least, the award is available to both undergraduate and graduate students.

How to Apply

Once you determine your eligibility, what you need to do is to submit a completed application together with all required documents including letters of recommendation.

All these should be sent prior to April 9th, when the application process ends.

First, you need to access the online application available on the scholarship provider’s official website and fill out the online application.

You are required to submit all supporting documents before the deadline and those are your resume, Video Introduction, Essay, College Transcripts, Work Samples and two letters of recommendation by a professor, mentor, religious leader, or employer.

All these documents will serve as criteria that will enable the scholarship committee make the best decision and select the most deserving candidate as a scholarship winner.

Incomplete and late applications will be rejected, even though the applicant is eligible for the award.
