Hub Foundation awards scholarships to graduate and undergraduate students and it will award up to 15 scholarships to highly qualified applicants.

The lucky winners will receive $2,500, $5,000, $10,000 or $20,000.

The main aim of the Hub Foundation Scholarship is to support research on the harmony and dialogue of civilizations, so it supports research that focuses on Islam and Muslim voices as well as historical and contemporary interactions between Muslims, Christians, Jews, and others.

That way, they will help develop future scholars, teachers, and leaders who can contribute to the mutual understanding of different cultures and improve foreign and domestic relations.

Here are some of the most important dates that future applicants might be interested in.

The application process starts on April 15th and from that moment on, the scholarship applications are available.

The application process finishes on July 1st and all the applications should be submitted prior to that date.

On August 15th, the recipients will be announced.

Every student who meets the eligibility criteria is highly encouraged to try his/her luck and apply for this amazing award.

Who's eligible?

If you are wondering what the scholarship requirements are, you should know the following:

Your studies and research should focus on Islam and Muslim voices or perspectives

Your major or field should include one or more of the following: Islamic Studies, Religious Studies, Comparative Religious Studies, Near or Middle Eastern Studies, Central and South Asian Studies, African Studies, History, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Political Science, Law, Public Policy and Administration, Media, or Journalism

Then, you have to be enrolled at an accredited university or college in the United States and have a 3.5-grade point average

Last, but not least, you need to be engaged in community service projects.

The application process is done via an online application form which has to be submitted.

Additional documents that the applicant has to provide are:

  • Curriculum vitae
  • University or college transcripts
  • A five to ten-page writing sample
  • A one-page description of your major, thesis, or dissertation.
  • Two letters of recommendation
