The Genesis HealthCare Foundation has the aim to support the Genesis HealthCare System and they are achieving this by supporting those who need financial aid.
The deadline to apply is June 15, so make sure you have provided all the documents prior to that date.
The award will be paid directly to the recipient’s college or university after a copy of the recipient’s thank you letter to the donor has been received.
So as to be eligible for this scholarship, an applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and pursuing a degree in health care.
All applicants should know that financial need will be considered and that the preference will be given to students who permanently reside within Genesis’ service area, that is Muskingum, Morgan, Perry, Coshocton, Guernsey, Noble counties.
Besides the filled out application form, there are additional required documents to be submitted.
You must provide verification of college acceptance or official college schedule.
Additionally, you need to submit two letters of reference, verification of high school/college transcript and most recent IRS tax return from BOTH student and parents/guardians.
Last, but not least, you should send a typed response to the essay questions:
The essay should not be longer than 250 words and will be taken as an important part of the selection process.
Only one application is needed to be considered for all eligible scholarships as the system will determine which one you can get.
Applications must be completed and returned to the attention of Darla Doss, Genesis HealthCare Foundation, 1135 Maple Ave., Zanesville, OH 43701.
Applications submitted without completed information or without all of the requested documents will be rejected.
If you happen to be the lucky recipient, you must provide a written thank you letter to the donor of this scholarship endowment fund.
All applicants will be notified of selection status by August 2nd.
