The CSUB Beglin Family Awards has been awards for so many years, since the fund was established by Philip J. and Kelley H. Beglin.

Kelley H. Beglin is a lecturer at CSUB and their aim was to provide financial aid to students who are pursuing higher education but have some financial issues and struggle with it.

Their aim at California State University, Bakersfield is to see that all students succeed, so they offer a number of programs and resources.

The award is given to two most deserving recipients.

One is aimed at a nursing student and one at a theater-arts student.

The award amount varies each year, but the deadline for application submission is December 1st.

Who's eligible?

When the eligibility requirements are in question there is no GPA requirement for this scholarship as well as no residency requirements.

The eligible grade levels are College Freshman, College Sophomore and College Junior.

The applicant has to be majoring Nursing, Theater & Performance Studies.
