Full Description

You should know that during the selection process, the preference will be given to LGBT students.

However, all students are invited to apply, but only one winner will be selected.

Who's eligible?

It is important to know whether you are eligible for this award, prior to submitting the application. Those who do not meet the eligibility criteria should not waste time applying, as they will be rejected.

The requirements are the following:

  • All current undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at least half-time with majors in the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts who are in good academic standing
  • Applicants should demonstrate a positive sensitivity to and involvement in LGBT issues.

How to Apply

Sometimes applying for scholarships can be hard work, so  Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Endowed Scholarship organizers decided to make it simple.

The application process consists of a few steps, and it is made so easy that all interested people can apply without much trouble.

Application Procedure consists of completing the CFPCA application in AcademicWorks and submitting an explanation in which you will answer the question: How do you demonstrate a positive sensitivity to LGBT issues and any involvement that you may have in the LGBT community/organizations?

The great thing is that by filling out an application on AcademicWorks, students can be automatically considered for a variety of scholarship opportunities, as there hundreds of scholarships available.

Make sure you submit the application prior to the deadline on March 1st, as those submitted later would not be accepted.

Once your application is submitted, you become one of the possible scholarship winners who will get the $500 award which can be applied to either the next Fall or Winter semester.

Applications will be reviewed by the CFPCA Scholarship Committee which will determine who the most deserving applicant is.
