The Arab American Association of Engineers and Architects (AAAEA) – Capital Area, offers annual scholarships to all students who are members of the AAAEA-Capital Area.

The aim of this scholarship is to get stronger ties between the Association and the Arab American Community.

 

Full Description

The number of the awards and their value are determined every year based on the amount raised by the Education and Career Enhancement Committee for this purpose and will be available on the official website when the application period starts.

It is important to follow the deadline and not to miss the chance of getting the award due to the late sending of documentation.

Who's eligible?

So that your application is accepted and that you have chance of getting the award, you have to meet some eligibility requirements set by the scholarship committee.

The requirements are the following:

You must be a current Student Member of AAAEA – Capital Area or a child of a current member of the association.

In case you are not a member, and want to apply for the scholarship, you can join AAAEA before the application deadlines and become eligible.

Furthermore, you have to be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student currently studying in the field of STEM related topics at an accredited four year college or university.

How to Apply

The application process is not troublesome as you will be asked to complete the AAAEA Scholarship Award Application which can be found on the scholarship provider’s official website and to submit all required documents.

Besides the application form, you will have to submit

  • Transcript or College Acceptance Letter
  • Two Recommendation letters
  • Extracurricular activities document
  • Essay in STEM projects
  • Community College Additional Requirements
  • One Application Package per a student

In case one of the above mentioned documents is missing, the application will not be considered.

The criteria for choosing the winner will be based on:

  • your essay in STEM topics,
  • your Course Grades (GPA)
  • Extra-Curricular Activities Description
  • Letter of Recommendation
  • Application Quality

Make sure that your application is neat, well organized, without spelling mistakes and bad English usage.

If your application is rejected, you are not allowed to submit it again.

Once you gather all the documents, you should email it before September 15th to AAAEA-Capital Area.
