Full Description

The recipient will need to use this scholarship for his or her studies.

This is a merit-based scholarship that is offered annually in the name of the TGF founders.

The aim of the Theodore Gordon Flyfishers program is that the recipient will use this scholarship to graduate and reach employment in the field related to environmental protection.

Who's eligible?

Before completing the application, it is important that interested applicants determine their eligibility, as they need to be students who will be entering their 1st or 2nd year of graduate school or law school, who will be enrolled, and who will continue to be enrolled in a full-time graduate degree program at a member institution of the Environmental Consortium.

Furthermore, the students need to demonstrate excellence and dedication to environmental conservation through a field of study – ecology; hydrology; conservation biology; fisheries, natural resource management; zoology; environmental studies, science, law or policy.

Last but not least, he/she need to have a 3.5 GPA in the environmental concentration courses and an overall minimum 3.0 GPA and be a U.S. citizen so as to be accepted as a possible scholarship winner.

A good thing to know is that those people who have received a TGF scholarship in the past can be future applicants if they still meet the eligibility requirements.

A student may be awarded more than one consecutive TGF scholarship, but have in mind that the preference will be given to those who have not previously received a TGF scholarship.
