The Lucille Stoeppler Baker Scholarship

Many history students appreciate the possibility of getting the Lucille Stoeppler Baker Scholarship.

The organization has noticed the importance of supporting young students with excellent academic achievements who are struggling with financial difficulties.

The scholarship was named after and is awarded to honor Dr. Baker, who provided the bequest for this scholarship fund and who was a longtime professor at Tompkins Cortland Community College in Dryden, New York.

The Lucille Stoeppler Baker Scholarship fund offers one award of $1,500 each year, so you should start thinking about getting this amazing award.

However, you are encouraged to apply only if you meet the eligibility requirements.

Ineligible applications will be rejected by the scholarship committee.

Who's eligible?

The eligibility criteria set by the scholarship committee which has to be met so as to be considered a possible winner is the following – applicants must be majoring in historical anthropology and have an academic average above 3.5 for at least two years.

Once you determine your eligibility, you should take a look at the application timeline and once the application process starts, you should submit your application form together with the required supporting documentation.

How to Apply

When the application requirements are in question, the applicant has to meet them all so as to be considered for the award.

They will need to submit all the required documents with the completed application form which will be available on the scholarship provider’s website once the application process starts.

You must submit the following:

  • official transcripts that can be either mailed directly to Historic Huguenot Street or be sent in an unopened, sealed envelope from the registrar.
  • two letters of recommendation in sealed envelopes from a college or university professor.
  • a written statement in which the applicant will be speaking about his/her goals.

All the information provided in the application, as well as supporting materials, has to be accurate and should be submitted either via email to caitlin@huguenotstreet.org with the words “Scholarship Application” in the subject line or mailed to:
