The Craig & Galen Brown Foundation offers financial aid through scholarships to those deserving students who are having great achievements during their high school education and who are recognized as National Merit Semifinalists.

What will be taken into consideration when selecting the most appropriate candidate is test score.

Also, there are is additional factors which might affect your position among the finalists and they include leadership, community service, special talents and a financial need component.

The Craig & Galen Brown Foundation Scholarships are four year awards, but the recipients are obliged to meet eligibility requirements each year so as to be able to receive the scholarship.

If you happen to be a Brown Foundation Scholarship recipient, you are expected to maintain a high standard of excellence at Texas A&M.

 

Who's eligible?

The Craig & Galen Brown Foundation awards scholarships only to those people who meet eligibility criteria, and the first one is that he/she are high achieving high school students.

Besides having high academic achievement with rigorous curriculum, he/she has to be a US Citizen, permanent resident, or graduate of an accredited US high school and be a National Merit Semifinalist

If you have participated in organizations and activities, including community service, then you will have greater advantage.

The Craig & Galen Brown Foundation requires that the applicant has been awarded Texas A&M President’s Endowed Scholarship, has at least a 1400 SATor a 32 ACT composite score and possess the intention to enrol at Texas A&M.

Additionaly, he/ she has to be pursuing a STEM or Business major at one of the following University Colleges: Engineering, Science, Ag & Life Sciences, Biomedical Science & Veterinarian Medicine, Public Health or Mays Business School.

People with leadership positions and communication skills will also have advantage.

How to Apply

The application form which can be found online should be filled out and as part of the application process and you are supposed to provide two letters of recommendation.

The application deadline for Fall is December 1st and all the data should be sent by then.

The decisions about the winners are made by the Foundation after personal interviews.
