Soliant’s Sunrise Scholarship

A $1,000 annual scholarship targeting promising senior high-school students accepted to a college and university, as well as undergraduate students who are keen on exploring how being philanthropic and being profitable in business can be balanced.

Soliant Consulting is a professional services company based in Chicago, Philadelphia and San Francisco, specializing in FileMaker solutions, Saleforce consulting and web applications.

They aim to ease their clients’ business decisions and to help them implement the best solutions for the development of their enterprises.

Soliant is the sponsor of the annual Sunrise scholarship awarded to incoming freshmen or undergraduate students pursuing degrees in American colleges or universities on the basis of their capacity to think creatively about how philanthropy and business profitability can be balanced.

Applicants are required to write a 500 word essay detailing how companies can/should balance philanthropy and profit.

The amount of the scholarship is $1,000, the deadline for the application is September 1, 2024 and the successful candidate will be selected and notified by September 15, 2024.The funds will be paid directly to the winner’s college or university.

Who's eligible?

Applicants must be either:

  • Incoming freshmen with a cumulative high-school GPA of at least 3.0, with good results in their SAT or ACT scores and already granted admission to enroll in a college or university; or
  • Undergraduate students enrolled at an accredited two year or four year American college or university, with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.

If the candidate’s parents or legal guardians are employed at the time of the application by Soliant Consulting or were previously working there, the candidate is NOT eligible to apply.

Applicants should submit by email (scholarship@soliantconsulting.com; subject line ‘Soliant Sunrise Scholarship Entry’) a 500 word essay describing how businesses can balance profitability with philanthropy.

By applying for this scholarship, the applicants agree that their essays will become the property of Soliant Consulting and may be reposted, displayed online or used in marketing without any notification.
