The Living for Zachary Scholarship will financially support three high school students in the amount of $2,500 each.

The scholarship is named after Zachary whose dream was to become a physician, so the scholarship will be awarded only to a person who is pursuing a medically oriented program of study.

Full Description

Among so many applications received, the scholarship committee had to determine some criteria according to which they will choose the most deserving applicant.

So, the winner selection will be based upon:

  • Completed application
  • Commitment to a medically oriented program of study which should be demonstrated by student essay
  • Recommendation letter
  • Academic success proved by the student’s transcript
  • Financial need

If you happen to be the winner you will receive a $2,500 scholarship paid directly to your college or university and you should continue to be engaged with the organization.

Who's eligible?

Now, when the eligibility requirements are in question, the applicants for a Living for Zachary Scholarship must graduate from a Collin County public high school and plan to attend a two- or four-year college or university.

They have to prove the academic success, demonstrate community service, volunteerism and commitment to leadership development and plan to pursue a medical oriented degree program

As this scholarship is there to financially support students, the applicants must demonstrate financial need.

How to Apply

People who have determined their eligibility should now think about the application process and required materials that have to be submitted with the application.

Make sure you have attached all the required documents in the application packet.

It has to include one Letter of Recommendation from a teacher who will speak about the student’s academic record and his or her plans to pursue a medical field of study and the official High School Transcript.

The applicant is supposed to submit an online application and essay no later than December 20th as late applications will not be considered, as well as those incomplete ones.
