In order to make college as affordable as possible especially for the students who are having financial difficulties, the Hardin-Simmons created a scholarship program which offers an equal opportunity for all students.

Hardin-Simmons University is offering the scholarships which vary in the amount and which are aimed at people with financial need.

That way they are providing excellence in education enlightened by Christian faith and values.

Full Description

Institutional scholarships are applied to fall and spring semesters and are tuition-specific, so cannot be used for other purposes.

Students with financial need will receive priority for these awards.

Some of the scholarships are Heritage scholarships for undergraduate students whose parent/sibling graduated from Hardin-Simmons University, who currently have a brother/sister attending HSU, whose parent is currently serving in full-time Christian ministry, or whose parent is currently serving as a full-time missionary, as well as outside scholarships which are funded by private individuals, foundations and organizations.

The money will be used for the payment of educational costs and some scholarships require you to complete either a paper or online application.

Who's eligible?

After you are admitted to HSU, you will then be eligible to be considered for institutional scholarships.

The possible recipients will be determined according to their academic performance, test scores, co-curricular involvement, enrollment status and anticipated major.

Your admission application and FAFSA will be used in determining your eligibility for scholarships.

Students in the Intercollegiate Program, Study Abroad and Physical Therapy programs are not eligible for institutional scholarships.

The eligible candidate must be a full-time undergraduate student who maintains a 2.5 GPA.

How to Apply

If you believe that you meet the criteria, you are encouraged to apply for institutional scholarships through Scholarship Central.

FASFA is required for this scholarship being that it is a need-based award.

Candidates are encouraged to apply if they have met required qualifications, but have to have in mind that there is an application filing deadline and all those applications received after it will not be taken into consideration and will be rejected.
