An annual $1,000 scholarship dedicated to current or prospective students enrolled full-time in an accredited university, majoring in constructions, engineering or architecture, and displaying a strong passion for their continued education.

Full Description

Whirlwind Steel Buildings, Inc. is a company founded in 1955 and currently based in Texas, Gergia, Oklahoma and Minnesota. They are one of the largest metal building manufacturers in the industry, manufacturing pre-engineered metal buildings and metal building components for the commercial, agricultural, industrial, governmental, institutional, residential and self-storage markets. Whirlwind has the personnel, organization, experience, commitment and capability to produce highly professional constructions, going beyond the traditional metal building manufacturing companies.

They offer an annual $1,000 scholarship to students enrolled full-time in an accredited university and majoring in constructions, engineering or architecture. The scholarship is awarded for tuition fee and other related expenses and must be used in the following academic year.

In order to apply, candidates must submit a 500 words essay explaining whom or what inspired them to pursue a career in a constructions-related field, as well as a short but creative video (30 seconds).

The deadline for the application is July 31, 2024 and the winner will be announced five weeks after the deadline and notified by email.

Who's eligible?

  • Applicants must be enrolled full-time at an accredited university
  • They must pursue a major in engineering, constructions, architecture or other constructions-related fields.
  • Their GPA should not be lower than 3.0.

How to Apply

Applicants must write a 500 words essay about whom or what inspired them to enter an academic field related to constructions, and shoot a 30 seconds creative video. The essay and the video should be uploaded on the scholarship’s webpage no later than July 31, 2024, along with the following additional information:

  • Current GPA
