Full Description

Silver Cross is a company founded in 1993, providing the latest, most up-to-date information about accessibility/mobility equipment, such as lift stairs, wheelchairs lifts, home elevators etc. aiming to assist their customers make informed choices and find the best equipment in their area.

They offer annually a $1500 scholarship targeting students enrolled full-time in American or Canadian colleges and universities (in three or four year undergraduate degrees). The applicants should be using mobility equipment (such as power wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs or mobility scooters) themselves. Thus, the aim of this scholarship is to meaningfully contribute to the lives and education of students with disabilities.

In order to apply, they must write a 500 words essay in which they should explain how they have demonstrated leadership in their communities or schools and how such activities help them build valuable life skills.

The deadline for the applications is December 15, 2024.

Who's eligible?

In order to be eligible for this scholarship applicants must be enrolled full-time in an accredited American or Canadian college or university in a three or four year undergraduate program.

The candidates should also use mobility equipment, such as power wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
