Barnes W. Rose, Jr. and Eva Rose Nichol Scholarship Program

This scholarship program was raised in memory of Eva. Barnes who was an alumna of Albuquerque High School batch 1951 and a west point 1957 graduate. This scholarship grant was founded in 2003 and named Barnes W. Rose, Jr. and Eva Rose Nichol Scholarship Fund.

Full Description

This scholarship is open to all graduates of Albuquerque High School who wished to proceed their college degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. A $700 fund will be given to the deserving qualified applicant in pursuing a bachelor degree.

Who's eligible?

All AHS Alumni who wanted to make a career advancement for their bachelor’s degree for majors in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Those who are under engineering courses has a priority spot for the scholarship program but must excel in their SAT/ACF performance scores particularly in math and science.
Added Requirements:

  • Must acquire of a 3.6 GPA scores
  • Must belong to the low income bracket or possess the need financially
  • Enrolled in a colleges or universities in the need to upgrade the degree under the STEM courses.
  • Provide a letter with their intention for the continued career with their dedicated passion in their chosen STEM courses
  • Secure at least two reference letter from your assigned AHS math and science professor
