Three $1000 annual scholarships for high-school or undergraduate students who study logistics or moving-related fields.

Full Description

Allied Van Lines is one of the leading logistics companies in America specialized in household moving services including, but not limited to, packing, loading, transportation, unloading, unpacking, storage and assembly/disassembly.

They offer three scholarships, with a total value of $3,000 (awarded to three individuals, $1000 each) to high-school and undergraduate students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the United States. The scholarship’s purpose is to cover educational expenses (tax-free purposes) such as tuition fees and course related expenses such as books, supplies and required equipment and cannot be used for other expenses such as room, board, travel, research etc.

The applicants are required to write a 500-800 words essay (in English) in a personal, rather sincere tone explaining why a career in logistics/supply chain management is the best choice for their future. Besides the essays, the winners must comply with the IRS rules to qualify for the tax benefits of the scholarship.

The deadline for the application is August 15, 2024 and all the incomplete applications will be disqualified.

Who's eligible?

Applicants should be enrolled in an American high school (seniors only), or pursue an academic undergraduate degree (with a chosen major in logistics related fields) at an accredited college or university in the United States.

The applicants should be U.S citizens or permanent residents of the United States.

The applicants should comply with the IRS qualifying rules for the tax-free benefits of the scholarship (further details on the rules can be found on the scholarship’s homepage).

How to Apply

The applicants must fill the online application form by December 15, 2024 and complete all the required sections (mandatory). Besides the personal and school information, it is also required to attach the following documents:

  • The applicant’s current grade level (copy of the most recent transcript)
  • A proof of enrollment in college or university
  • A 500-800 words original essay

The winners will be announced by email as well as on the official Logistics Scholarship website www.allied.com/scholarship/logisticsedu.
